The Jane Anchor have released their first full length Second Wave and
is available through the band’s website and right here through
Lark Lane. The LP arrives on the heels of the Just Wait EP
and continues to deliver pop hooks that never fail.
Here’s what the critics are saying:
"Honed and polished in all her earlier
musical projects, Lafty's signature style—call it finessed aggression—has
arrived at a self-assured comfort zone on The Jane Anchor's first full-length,
Second Wave (Lark Lane). It's a smart, assertive, emotive reflection
of her reborn songwriting courage.” – Philadelphia CityPaper
"Like the justly beloved Just Wait EP, Wave is a jumpy, infectious
showing from Kara Lafty and bandmates, all sinew and smiles sewn neatly
intosoaring janglepop."
– Philadelphia Weekly
:::
Grandfabric also are in the final stages of completing a 4 song EP
titled Reproduction of Original Hits and plan on recording
another full length in 2005 to follow up Orphan Age which can still
be purchased
through Lark Lane.
